This Week on The Mountain July 2 - 5
Hey neighbor!
It’s finally here.
The Fourth of July weekend is one of the busiest and most memorable times of the year on the mountain. From Lake Arrowhead to Crestline, Green Valley Lake to Running Springs, nearly every community has something happening over the next few days.
Whether you’re watching fireworks over the lake, catching a concert, browsing a farmers market, or simply enjoying a slower weekend with family and friends, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate.
Earlier this week, we sent out our Special Fourth of July Guide with a complete rundown of holiday events. This issue focuses on everything else happening this weekend, along with weather, local news, jobs, and community updates.
Let’s get into it.
⭐ Featured Partner — Mountain Courier Service
Summer on the mountain usually means:
More visitors. More deliveries. More packages sitting at the post office waiting to be picked up.
Mountain Courier Service helps take that off your plate.
Instead of making extra trips or standing in line, they’ll pick up your mail and packages for you and bring them directly to your home or business.
For local businesses, they also offer:
• Banking runs
• Business mail handling
• Courier support
• Reliable local delivery services
It’s a mountain business built around convenience — and honestly one that makes a lot of sense once tourism season ramps up.

📰 Mountain News
Holiday Weekend Brings Largest Visitor Surge of the Summer
Mountain communities are preparing for one of the busiest weekends of the year as thousands of visitors are expected throughout the San Bernardino Mountains for the Independence Day holiday.
Local businesses, restaurants, hotels, and recreation areas have added staff to accommodate the increased crowds, while public safety agencies are encouraging residents and visitors to plan ahead for traffic, limited parking, and increased activity around popular destinations.
Officials also continue reminding everyone that personal fireworks remain prohibited throughout the mountain communities due to wildfire risk. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the professionally organized fireworks shows taking place over Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory.

⚡ Mountain Pick This Week
Summer weekends usually mean longer hikes, lake days, yard work, and plenty of time outdoors.
One thing I’ve continued reaching for is LMNT electrolytes. They’re easy to toss in a water bottle, contain no sugar, and have been a simple way to stay hydrated during these warmer mountain days.
If you’d like to check them out, here’s my link:
🇺🇸 Have a Safe Fourth of July!
