This Week on The Mountain
Hey mountain neighbors! Happy February!❄️
Here’s what’s coming up this Thursday through Sunday (Feb 5–8) around Running Springs, Arrowbear, Green Valley Lake, Lake Arrowhead, Twin Peaks, and Crestline.
🌦️ Mountain Weather Forecast
Thursday, Feb 5: Expect cool temperatures and mostly overcast skies with partly sunny breaks in many areas. Highs in the mid-50s around Lake Arrowhead and slightly cooler at higher elevations like Green Valley Lake. Overnight temps will drop into the 20s–30s.
Friday, Feb 6: Another cool day with generally dry conditions and cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Highs likely in the low-to-mid 50s around Lake Arrowhead, and upper 40s around Green Valley Lake. Winds should be light to moderate.
Saturday, Feb 7: Warmer but still cool mountain weather, with mostly sunny or partly cloudy skies and highs again in the 40s–50s depending on elevation.
Sunday, Feb 8: Looks dry and mild for a winter mountain weekend with morning clouds turning to partly sunny skies and daytime highs still in the 40s–50s range.

🏥 Mountain News: Big Grant for Local Hospital
Mountains Community Hospital Foundation was recently awarded a $300,000 capacity-building grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to help strengthen the hospital’s fundraising capabilities and support long-term community healthcare needs.
The hospital relies heavily on community support and philanthropy to keep services strong and to fund future projects — including plans for a new acute care wing, expanded emergency department, and skilled nursing facility to better serve mountain residents and visitors.
According to Foundation leadership, this grant will help them grow their fundraising efforts so they can continue investing in critical services and facility improvements that keep quality care close to home for all of us up the hill.
(Watch this space — fundraising and construction updates are likely to continue this year.)
That’s it for this week’s Mountain Weekly!
