Longer evenings, packed weekends, more live music, more people out by the lake — and the event calendar keeps getting busier every week. Memorial Day weekend is here, and you can feel the momentum building across the mountain communities.

Caltrans Reminds Drivers to Prepare for Busy Memorial Day Weekend
With Memorial Day weekend here, Caltrans is reminding mountain travelers to prepare for heavier-than-normal traffic across SR-18, SR-330, and surrounding highways leading into the San Bernardino Mountains.
Officials are encouraging drivers to:
• Leave early when possible
• Expect delays during peak travel times
• Check road conditions before heading up
• Use caution in construction zones
Local businesses are also preparing for one of the first major tourism weekends of the summer season, especially around Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, and Big Bear.
For full mountain traffic updates, drivers can continue using Caltrans QuickMap throughout the weekend.
