This Week on The Mountain
Hey neighbor! Here’s a rundown for this weeks issue
We’ve got a bit of a split week on the mountain — sunny and warm to start, then a shift into cooler, wetter weather heading into the weekend.
If you’re planning to get out, earlier in the week looks like your window before things turn a bit more “mountain spring.”
Also, the Mountain Events Calendar is starting to fill out — if you haven’t subscribed yet, this is the easiest way to keep track of what’s happening up here.
Let’s get into it.

🌲 Business Spotlight - Hoh Bros Landscaping

My brother has officially launched his own yard cleanup and landscaping business, built on over a decade of hands-on experience. With 10+ years in the industry, he’s developed a deep knowledge of what it takes to keep properties clean, healthy, and looking their best year-round. Now, he’s bringing that expertise directly to this community.
He started Hoh Bros Landscaping with a simple goal: to provide reliable, high-quality service to our mountain community; the people he knows, lives near, and genuinely want to serve. Whether it’s seasonal cleanups, general yard maintenance, or getting your property dialed in for the months ahead, Hoh Bros Landscaping is here to help.
To celebrate our launch, he’s offering $25 off any service for those who book by mid-April.
If you’ve been putting off a cleanup or just want a dependable crew you can count on, he’d love to earn your business.
Reach out to schedule or learn more, he’s just getting started, and excited to grow with this community. Email Tommy at [email protected] and mention The Mountain Weekly!

New Playground Project Moving Forward at San Moritz (Lake Gregory)
The Lake Gregory Company continues progress on a new playground installation at the San Moritz area in Crestline.
The project is part of ongoing efforts to improve family-friendly amenities around the lake and create more accessible recreation space for both residents and visitors.
Once completed, the new playground is expected to:
• Provide updated equipment for kids of all ages
• Create a more modern and safe play area
• Add to the overall appeal of the Lake Gregory shoreline
While no exact opening date has been announced, visible progress on the site signals that the project is moving forward — and it’s expected to be a welcome addition, especially heading into the busy summer season.

💼 Mountain Jobs + Volunteering
A few locals have reached out with a request to feature volunteering opportunities. I love the addition of volunteer opportunities because volunteering is a great way to build and grow our community - which is exactly what The Mountain Weekly serves to do!

🏔 Mountain Safety
As spring weather makes its way to the mountain and the weather warms up, it is important to stay Rattlesnake Alert. Rattlesnakes are not just out on the trails, but can also be around town or out in your yard. It is important to know what to do when we encounter these mountain neighbors.

That’s it for this week.
That wraps up this week’s Mountain Weekly!
If you’ve been enjoying The Mountain Weekly, consider forwarding it to a neighbor or friend — this is growing one local at a time.
See you up the hill,
