This Week on The Mountain
Hi Mountain Friends,
After last week’s storm cycle, the mountain is looking absolutely incredible. Fresh snow, clear skies, and that crisp air that reminds us why we live (or visit) up here this time of year.
With road conditions improving and bluebird days ahead, it’s shaping up to be a great stretch to get outside, support a local restaurant, catch some live music, or even explore a new job opportunity on the mountain. We’ve rounded up this week’s weather, events, a restaurant spotlight, and local news to keep you in the loop.
Here’s what’s happening around the mountain this week 👇

🍽️ Restaurant Spotlight
Last Friday I found myself craving some poke, so I made my way down to Sweet Peas in Crestline. Sweet Peas had an awesome selection of fresh fish and I was able to make a custom Poke Bowl. The other items on their menu looked great too!
If you find yourself craving some fresh poke, head over to Sweet Peas to satisfy that craving! Check out their acai bowls and boba tea too! They run a great Friday special, Fish Fridays where poke bowls are $5 off! You can’t go wrong with that!

📰 Mountain News
Following this week’s storm, San Bernardino County crews rescued a stranded outdoorsman and his dog from deep snow in the San Bernardino Mountains using a snowcat. The incident is a strong reminder that conditions can change quickly up here, even for experienced adventurers. Always check forecasts, let someone know your plans, and carry reliable communication when heading into the backcountry.
